Some things take a bit longer, but then they turn out really good.
For example with this jewellery combo. I made them one night when I was struggling to fall asleep – I got up again and made some easy jewellery instead.
I made this jewellery out of plain brass rings…not very fancy and somehow not convincing. But I also didn’t disassemble them to use the material for something else. They were just hanging there in my crafting room.
And suddenly I had this awesome idea to add some colour with dip dyed fringes…you may have noticed that I really enjoy dip dying right know…so it turns out that this was the perfect addition to this plain jewellery set.
I really like it. Even the bright pink, which is usually not my colour…that much. Strangely I end up with pink stuff a lot. Maybe I have to change my attitude to pink…?
That showed me one more time that if you don’t know how/what to do with something, you just need to give it time and forget about it. The perfect idea will come.
So this is another addition to my collection of ideas for personal Christmas presents. If they remind you about summer and pool party, please remember, here in South Africa the summer is just about to start and Christmas will be hot and sunny – something I still have to get used to.
